Patrick Teow, Chief Executive Officer, AIA Singapore commented:
“The AIA Centennial is a proud moment for each and every one of us in AIA Singapore. It is a story, and a recognition, of how AIA has gone from strength to strength since our early beginnings in Shanghai in 1919 - and it’s a motivation for us to do even better over the next 100 years!
The AIA Glow Festival was the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate our Centennial with employees, agents, representatives, customers, families and the wider community. The 5km run also gave us the opportunity to raise money for the AIA Centennial Fund. Launched earlier this year in AIA Singapore, the fund is dedicated to supporting 100 children and families from our adopted charity - Children’s Wishing Well - and I am very happy to announce that a total of $100,000 was raised by the end of the weekend.
Thank you for everyone involved in the organisation and planning of such a large, energetic and symbolic event – and just as importantly, thank you to everyone who took part and helped AIA to glow at 100 years young!”
The AIA Marketplace, another key highlight of the festival was also buzzing with activity all day with a wide array of healthy bites including the AIA Healthy Dim Sum Masterclass by Jeremy Pang, School of Wok. Jeremy conducted masterclasses throughout the day where participants got to learn how to make healthier har kau and siew mai.
